Blueberry Banana Cream Pie

Jodies Kitchen Blueberry Banana Cream Pie

This delicious recipe was submitted by
Phyllis Jean Haws-Garard.

I had a Pie Swap Event on my Facebook Page.We had so many delicious recipes submitted there was no way I could make everyone of them.
I asked Fans to choose the one they wanted me to make the most.
This Blueberry Banana Cream Pie was the one they wanted to see.

It was very easy to make, and so yummy.
I will have to tell you though,as you can tell by the picture
I COULDN'T WAIT to cut into it.It should have sit up several hours.
I had already been licking the beaters and spoon when making this so I knew I had a treat coming to me.
I sure wasn't disappointed.

You will notice this recipe calls for Brandy Extract. It has become very hard to find at my local grocery store, but I did get my hands on some (thanks Mom)... When asked, Phyllis said it could be made without but it did give a special flavor.
I did try the filling before adding the Brandy. It does give it a little something extra, but if you cant find it please don't hesitate to make this,it will still be delicious.

We also talked about freezing this pie.She had never tried doing that.I was concerned on how the bananas would turn out after being frozen so what I decided to to was to make one without the bananas and incorporated the Blueberry pie filling into the mix.It wont have the bananas but should still taste great.
Full recipe at the bottom of page.

I baked my Graham Crust about 9 minutes per directions on the package and let cool before adding a layer of bananas into the bottom. This was about 1 1/2 sliced banana's.

At this point I have added my Cream Cheese and Cool-Whip mixture over the banana layer.

All done with the Blueberry pie filling on top.Now for the waiting...and the waiting....and the waiting....

This recipe was given to me by my ex sister-in-law. we make it for the holidays most of the time. The only problem is Brandy extract has become very hard to find but it really needs it due to the taste its what gives it its unique taste I have yet to try it with any other extract.

2 graham cracker crust
Beat cream cheese and Cool Whip until fluffy. Add sugar, vanilla, and brandy extract.Line pie crust with sliced bananas; pour in cream mixture. Put 1/2 can blueberry pie filling on top of each pie and refrigerate for several hours.
