Chicken Pie

Jodies Chicken Pie

Jodies Kitchen Chicken Pie 
2 1/2 to 3 lbs. Chicken
2 cups broth
1 can cream of chicken
1 stick butter
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 cup flour (self rising)
1 cup buttermilk
Boil chicken,save broth.Take out and shred.Mix together broth and cream of chicken,add your chicken mix all together.Put into a 12x9 casserole dish.
Topping: Melt butter,and mix with your flour, pepper,and buttermilk. Pour on top bake 425 25-30 minutes
NOTE: I would not substitute butter or buttermilk.This does make the topping what it is-Delicious.
Recipe Handed down from my Mother In Law.The best way to describe this is Delicious Moist Chicken in a Rich Gravy with the best Buttermilk Biscuits you ever put in your Mouth.
